New Analysis of Census Bureau Data

New data shows economic growth has made little progress for working families:

It has been four years since the national recession that started and ended in 2001. New data from the Census Bureau gives us an opportunity to compare today's Washington State economy with that of 2000, before the recession.

New Data Provides Insight Into Well-Being of Washingtonians
On Tuesday, August 29th, the Census Bureau will make available a wealth of new data that will provide information about income, poverty, health insurance, employment, and commuting to work in Washington State. The sheer amount of data as well as the alphabet soup of Census Bureau lingo (PUMA, ACS, ASEC, etc.) can make delving into these data a daunting task.  The Washington State Budget & Policy Center has created a website outlining the key information that policymakers, journalists, and community leaders need to know in order to make use of this data.
